OVERVIEW
Dooars, a vast region located on the foothills of the Eastern Himalayas, is the floodplains of Eastern Assam and North Bengal. The Teesta River forms the western frontier of the Dooars, but the eastern line within Assam is less well-defined. The Kingdom of Bhutan is to the north of the Dooars, while Bangladesh is to the south. The region is known for its diverse biodiversity, lush greenery, wildlife, and ethnic peoples and cultures.
